Nimitz Walkway Canopies
This project at Nimitz Middle School involved the renovation and structural upgrade of existing walkway canopies, performed on a fully occupied campus.
Scope included removal of the existing canopy roofing and fabrication and installation of new structural steel supports to elevate and re-route electrical, mechanical, and communication utilities. The work required the relocation and replacement of conduit, junction boxes, and gas lines, coordinated for safety and continuity. Final installation featured a prefabricated Avadek aluminum awning system with a multi-layer roofing assembly including peel-and-stick base ply, torch-applied cap ply, and a modified bitumen roof.
