North East ISD Launches New Institute of Cybersecurity and Innovation Program
SAN ANTONIO – Monday is an exciting day for students at North East Independent School District as they had back to school for a brand new year.
The district’s Career & Technical Education Center is opening a new building – The Institute of Cybersecurity and Innovation.
Beginning on Tuesday, 180 ninth graders will be able to start the school year in the program, with 10-12th graders being added over the next few years.
NEISD created this program to help prepare students for the cybersecurity workforce and introduce them into the industry. It’ll have interactive instruction and students will be able to earn industry certifications as well.
